Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford had a header well saved by Cardiff 'keeper Neil Etheridge but United fans had little to cheer about apart from the performance of Mason Greenwood, the 17-year-old forward who became United's youngest Premier League starter.

Manchester United have finished sixth in the Premier League with 66 points from 38 games. "I've been in the reserves and we send them away saying "come on look after yourself" because you never know what the manager is going to do when you come back after the summer", Solskjaer added.

"The club is in a strong position. they can push on like Burnley did when they went down". If we can get the momentum early on, I'm sure we can catch a few teams.

DAILY POST recalls that Sancho was among the six players Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, wants to sign at the end of the season.

And Solskjaer, not for the first time in recent weeks, pulled no punches in analysing the state of his club after the latest debacle and a first home loss to the Welsh club in 65 years.

The result, and United's bloodless display, left little doubt that Solskjaer faces a massive job to rebuild the squad during the summer, with several of the club's stalwarts set to leave. We want them to, because we trust them.

Cora says Red Sox clubhouse isn't divided
By early morning, the White House had remedied the mistake. "If you want to go or you don't want to go, that's your decision". The Red Sox, infamously, held a failed tryout for Jackie Robinson before he broke the sport's color barrier.

"The end of the season makes it clearer than when we had that great run of form". We've got a longer summer break than any of the other challengers and we need to use that as an advantage. "It's not a shock".

The Manchester United boss knows his club need to get off to a good start next season if they are to close the gap on the top of the table.

However, fans have noticed just how unfit the players are as well with Solskjaer's intense tactics taking it's toll on them.

A poor draw at last-placed Huddersfield has been followed by an emphatic defeat to Cardiff, who took a 22nd minute lead when Nathaniel Mendez-Laing was fouled by Diogo Dalot and converted the penalty himself.

The 46-year-old also revealed how the power dynamic in the league has shifted since his days as a professional footballer.
