Developer Phoenix Labs has announced its free-to-play monster hunting RPG Dauntless is releasing next week, on May 21. The world of Dauntless plays home to a number of beasts known as Behemoths, and taking them down isn't just a rush, it's also a way to earn the resources needed to craft new weapons and gear.

Dauntless is free to play, and will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via the Epic Games Store. These courageous warriors fight for humanity's survival against ferocious beasts known as Behemoths, whose savage hunger to drain the very essence, or aether, from the world puts every life at risk.

Additionally, there's a new DLC pack launching on the game's official release, called Hidden Blades. Players assume the role of a Slayer, an individual who hunts Behemoths and uses their parts to fuel powerful armaments. This is in addition to the 50 new levels of content for basic and elite tracks, as with the four previous Hunt Pass seasons.

Huawei is "willing to sign no-spy agreements with governments" including the United Kingdom , its chairman Liang Hua said. Furthermore, concerns about Chinese law requiring Huawei to cooperate with China's intelligence agencies were simply hype.

The full launch also includes other content updates as well as gameplay improvements. The Dauntless experience will continue to offer players new and unique ways to engage with the world and community for years to come.

Since the game has been in early access for some time it'll properly launch with season five alongside of a new "hunt pass", which is basically the battle pass program (leveling up in the pass system unlocks cosmetics and currency) that every game has now following Dota 2 and Fortnite's popularization of the concept.

As for PlayStation, the Epic Games published title created by Phoenix Labs will not support Cross-Play or Cross-Save as of right now. Look forward to regular updates, seasonal events, new Behemoths, and more in a rich, evolving world.
