After launching Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro ( review), earlier this year, tech giant, Xiaomi, has geared up to launch its next smartphone of the series-Redmi Note 7S today in India. Other than the 48MP + 5MP camera at the back, the Redmi Note 7S is the same as the Note 7. Dubbed as Redmi Note 7s, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM option is priced at Rs 12,999. The smartphone houses a dual rear camera setup with 48MP main sensor and 5MP secondary sensor.

Redmi Note 7S has a 6.3-inch display with the dot notch in the front where the selfie camera is also present.

Xiaomi has been known to flood the market with phones that differ little in terms of specs, and nowhere is this more evident than the Redmi Note 7S. It will be available across, Flipkart and Mi Homes platforms.

Tesla Model 3: Autopilot engaged during fatal crash
The Model 3 was going 68 miles per hour when it hit the trailer on USA 441, and the speed limit was 55 mph, the report said. Tesla defended its "Autopilot" system after a preliminary report said the mechanism was engaged in a fatal crash in March.

The dual camera setup placed on the rear side of the Redmi Note 7S has a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a depth sensor of 5-megapixel. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, both front and back. Tt could be that the brand had excess 12MP camera modules and wanted to get rid of them before rolling out the 48MP model.

The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. The handset is also water resistant to some extent thanks to a P2i nano-coating on the body that repels water. Xiaomi is promising availability in offline stores from the next day itself, which is May 24. The smartphone features the Aurora Design and it will be available in Nebula Blue, Red and Black colour options. Therefore, it certainly seems that the China variant of the Redmi Note 7 is being brought to India. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. Internal storage is at 32GB and 64GB. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which can be charged via a USB Type-C port that supports QuickCharge 4.0. The rear camera comes with the Night Photography mode as well.
