While the details of the allegations aren't known, Mitchell was also dropped by his agency, UTA and his management company, Authentic Talent & Literary Management.

"The Chi" star Jason Mitchell, whose rise to fame is credited to his role in 'Straight Outta Compton, ' has been cut from multiple projects over allegations of inappropriate behavior.

Mitchell has also been dropped by his agent and manager, per Deadline, and has lost a lead role in the Netflix film Desperados, in which he was set to star alongside Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell. Showtime confirmed to EW on Monday that Mitchell will not be returning for the recently announced third season, but declined to comment further.

Finally, 'Avengers: Endgame' dethroned. Box office has a new king
The young adult adaptation The Sun Is Also a Star fizzled in its debut, grossing only $2.6 million and landing in eighth place. When it comes to John Wick films, audiences don't ask for much: Keanu Reeves shooting people in the face.

None involved would comment on the reason for severing ties with Mitchell. Since then, Mitchell has starred in films such as Mudbound, Kong: Skull Island, and Detroit.

On the Lena Waithe-created The Chi, Mitchell plays Brandon, a popular young man striving to better himself and open his own restaurant. Waithe praised Mitchell at last year's Television Critics Association winter press tour ahead of the Season 1 premiere, calling him "The Black Tom Hanks". Other actresses from both the Desperados film and The Chi also were said to have had problems with Mitchell.

Boone is reportedly one of several actresses on the series who had issues with Mitchell's alleged behavior.

Currently, no information about the misconduct has been revealed.
