Rose, who was a member of the Fab Five squad along with Howard, Chris Webber, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson, told ESPN's "Get Up" it would end any dispute among the players. MI had to find a replacement head coach after veteran mentor John Beilein made the jump to the big league, signing a five-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The former member of the Fab Five agreed to a five-year deal, which will pay him $2 million in his first year, on Wednesday to lead the Wolverines. During the latter year's NBA Finals run, Howard did not play, but instead served as a quasi-assistant coach. The two-time National Basketball Association champion with the Heat and one-time All-Star averaged 13.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists during his career that ended after the 2012-13 season. Despite being the biggest star of the group, Webber has had a very rocky relationship with the school the last couple decades to say the least, as the university at one point tried to whitewash his influence on the program.

MI touching back to that time with the Howard hiring is significant for the school, and everyone has wondered what Webber thinks of it considering he has been disassociated with the school due to his role in the Ed Martin scandal.

Howard went into coaching after retiring as a player, starting as an assistant coach focused on player development with the Heat being promoted to an assistant coach with one of the franchises he played for during his 19-year career. He had even higher praise for Howard himself, complimenting his love for MI, basketball, and coaching.

Sheriff: Baby girl dies after 5 hours in Florida daycare van
The log from Wednesday morning revealed that two of the infant's siblings were accounted for, but not the infant. The child was reportedly left in the vehicle for five hours while it was parked in front of the daycare center.

"I'm happy for Juwan, Jenine and his family, and feel he is deserving of this opportunity to coach at the University of Michigan", Heat president Pat Riley said. He was named for Jalen Rose, however, and it's expected U-M will have every opportunity to keep him in the fold.

The days of discord between the Fab Five are over thanks to the hiring of Juwan Howard as Michigan's new head coach, ESPN analyst Jalen Rose said on Thursday.

During an interview on NBA TV, Webber said that there is no better man than Howard to continue what Beilein started.
