Sigourney told Parade magazine: 'It's going to be insane working with the guys again!' "Dan has read it. Ernie's read the script. Bill Murray has read the script".

The confirmed cast for the currently-untitled new movie includes Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, IT), Mckenna Grace (Annabelle Comes Home, Captain Marvel) and Carrie Coon (Fargo, Avengers: Infinity War, Gone Girl). Ernie's read the script...

When Ghostbusters 3 arrives in theatres next year, Sigourney Weaver will be along for the ride.

In an interview with Parade published on Friday, Weaver had seemingly confirmed that she was set to reunite with Murray and Aykroyd in Reitman's film.

Of course, the all-female reboot of "Ghostbusters" wasn't much of a commercial success, and while it received decent reviews, a sequel was never put into production.

Houston Texans abruptly fire GM Brian Gaine
Cares about this league, cares about football, has a great knowledge of both pro and college side of things, great family guy. On a sleepy offseason afternoon, news of Gaine's departure was shocking as it comes less than two years into his tenure.

She said that she always had confidence the film would be hit, telling the publication: "I knew it would be big".

Little is known about the sequel except that it will be a follow up to the original film, directed by Jason Reitman, the son of original director Ivan Reitman.

Reitman explained that he called "all the originals" and people who worked on the original movie to form an "advisory board of people who worked on the original film" to make sure they get Ghostbusters right. Yes, it will star mostly new characters, but "this is the next chapter in the original franchise", he said earlier this year.

Set for release on the 10th of July, 2020, the new Ghostbusters film comes after the previous two, skipping the last one for unknown reasons.

Reitman co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan.
