One of the episodes of the new season of the sci-fi show will feature pop star Miley Cyrus, playing a pop star in the terrifying universe of Black Mirror, and Cyrus reckons that world isn't that different to our own one.

The episode "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley, Too" is the ideal illustration of how to use every device in your arsenal to the finest of one's capacity between excellent story writing, Miley knows of the sector and Brooker's inherent capacity for bringing the comedy in the heaviest of subjects. Cyrus gave NIN tracks a pop twist.

There are probably a lot of people chugging Starbucks at their desks and heaping on mascara to look more awake (no, just me?), because Black Mirror released three new episodes on Netflix at, like, 3 a.m. last night. It's helmed by Norwegian director Anne Sewitsky and was written by series creator Charlie Brooker. Cyrus plays a purple-haired pop star who struggles with mental health issues.

So far, fans are praising her role in Black Mirror with viewers saying she deserves an Oscar for this performance. "He wanted to see the script, and I got to re-write his lyrics in a chirpy way", Booker says in the interview. "In the first song, she's singing, 'I'm stoked on ambition and verve, ' instead of, 'You're gonna get what you deserve'". As such, Brooke made a decision to draw from the collection of Nine Inch Nails, a legendary act fronted by Trent Reznor.

Everyone is on Netflix and everyone is searching for "Black Mirror s05E01 1080p" on Google.

Cyrus even posted a photo of her character on Twitter and changed her name to "Ashley O".
