"We're certainly going to add infrastructure", Griffin said of his plan for the Pelicans front office in April, via Bleacher Report.

The Pelicans announced Monday they've hired former WNBA star Swin Cash as their new vice president of basketball operations.

The hire makes Cash one of the highest-ranking females in the NBA and continues a string of strong hires by executive vice president of basketball David Griffin. According to ESPN, the 39-year-old Cash will "scout, help player development on and off the floor, and assume other roles within the organization". As Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, David Griffin runs the Pelicans' front office.

Griffin already has hired ex-NBA player Trajan Langdon to serve as general manager, as well as Aaron Nelson as vice president of player care and performance.

Dori came up with the flawless name for the fight - "Cruisin' for a Bieber-uisin'". He said he'd "have to get in shape" first.

But it sounds as if New Orleans will give Swin Cash a position with similar stature to Krauskopf's. In addition, she was apart of two National Championship teams while playing collegiately at UCONN in 2000 and 2002.

Cash played 15 years in the WNBA then worked in the New York Liberty's front office.

Griffin says the Pelicans value Cash's experience as a victor on many levels, her reputation for leadership, and her recent experience as a WNBA executive with the New York Liberty. "Her legendary experience as a player, champion and victor at every level, on and off the floor, represents everything we want this organization to be about".
