Per Doris Burke of ESPN, while Thompson said he did not feel anything pop when he landed awkwardly, the knee injury he suffered will keep him out for the remainder of Game 6.

The Toronto Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Game 6 to win the first National Basketball Association title in franchise history.

Thompson tweaked his left leg landing after a dunk attempt in the final minutes of the third quarter.

The Warriors ruled Thompson out for the rest of the game, and he left the building on crutches, much the same way Kevin Durant did after rupturing an Achilles tendon in Game 5.

In the early stages of the second half, Isco met an outswinging corner with a stunning volley that whistled just over the bar. At the climax of the season, De Gea was slow to react to Gylfi Sigurdsson's long-range shot in a shock 4-0 defeat by Everton.

He heroically came back onto the court to shoot a pair of free throws right after the injury but then was done for the game moments later and then the Warriors went on to lose Game 6 at home. He went down in pain and was heading to the locker room before returning to the floor to shoot two free throws, which he made.

Thompson proceeded to knock down both free throws, giving Golden State an 85-80 lead as Warriors fans chanted "MVP!"

After tearing his ACL, Thompson limped down the tunnel and into the locker room. He returned and was a stalwart for the beleaguered Warriors group throughout the series.
