Burger King Flips Its Whoppers ���Upside Down’ for 'Stranger Things' Season Three

As one of Netflix' most marketable original shows, it's no surprise that brands are beginning to announce brand partnerships, ahead of the release of season 3 on 15 July. It's been nearly two years since the debut of season two, and although the finale was satisfying, fans were left with plenty of questions.

Promotions like the upside-down Whopper get people to flock to restaurants to ensure they get a peek at the odd new offering before the deal ends.

Burger King has figured out how to serve Whoppers upside-down in 1980s-era packaging and turn that into a marketing opportunity.

Burger King is selling an "Upside Down Whopper" to celebrate the premiere of the third season of "Stranger Things". BK also released a promo video styled after the show's signature glowing red opening credits, which you can check out below.

Restaurants in those cities will also have limited-edition ketchup packets and t-shirts inspired by "Stranger Things".

The "Stranger Things"-inspired sandwich is only being offered in select locations in cities including Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and NY".

The restaurant is also giving away a "Stranger Things" VIP experience via an instant-win game. We'll it's just what it sounds like - a Whopper, but upside-down. Customers need to enter the code "STRANGER" to access the deal on the DoorDash app or website, where they will be able to watch previews of new season of 'Stranger Things'. "Eleven's Heaven" involves waffle-cone flavored ice cream (a nod to her love of Eggos, no doubt) with chocolate-coated sugar cone pieces and a chocolate icing flavored ribbon; "Upside Down Praline", on the other hand, is made with chocolate ice cream with praline pecans and a chocolate-caramel flavored ribbon. The Stranger Things promotion is only available in the United States territory.
