Fault hits Vodafone’s mobile data and broadband

We are aware that some customers are experiencing issues with their mobile data & broadband services. "@downdetector outtage maps show problems in India, Australia, New Zealand and Turkey".

It is understood the company is re-routing internet traffic to get around the problem.

The worldwide disruption seemed to be confirmed when Vodafone Ghana tweeted: "Vodafone Ghana wishes to apologise for the intermittent network challenges experienced by some of out mobile customers".

It said service teams are working on resolving the issue and will provide updates.

According to website Down Detector, the problems started at around 14:42.

Vodafone Ireland tweeted on Thursday evening to confirm that they are aware of technical difficulties with their services, and are now working on the problem.

Some have even reported issues with the company's app that many use to log complaints.

"This situation is already in the resolution phase. We regret all inconvenience caused and thank you for understanding".

The firm recently announced that it would introduce 5G in seven United Kingdom cities in July, following EE's launch at the end of May.
