Get excited, Spice Girls fans!

Mel B (Scary), Mel C (Sporty), Emma Bunton (Baby), Geri Halliwell (Ginger), and Victoria Beckham (Posh) are working with Paramount Animation on a new Spice Girls film, EW has learned.

The project is said to be in early development at this time.

A rep for the Spice Girls did not respond to EW's request for comment. Simon Fuller is producing the film, which will be penned by Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith. For those of us that can't swing the airfare to see our favorite '90s queens on stage, fear not, because The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the animated movie is happening, and all five Spice Girls are "very involved".

Editor's Note: Paramount Animation is part of Viacom, which is owned by National Amusements, the parent company of CBS Corporation, which includes the CBS News and CBS Interactive divisions.

Due for release in 2020, the movie is one of a number of new cartoons on the slate from the studio, including a new SpongeBob Squarepants film and Jersey Crabs, a Grease-like musical about warring crustaceans. The iconic girl group rose to global stardom with the released of their debut single "Wannabe" in 1996 and are now the best selling girl group worldwide with over 85 million records sold.

The Spice Girls (minus Victoria) are now nearing the end of their reunion tour which has seen them complete dates around the UK.
