The bookmakers have billed India as overwhelming favourites, rating them 80 percent likely winners against Pakistan in a crucial World Cup match to be played at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.

Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar wants Indian batsmen to throw caution to the wind and bat aggressively against Pakistan's in-form pace trump card Mohammad Amir in the marquee World Cup clash on Sunday.

The match between India and New Zealand at Trent Bridge in Nottingham has been called off due to persistent and heavy rains.

India captain Virat Kohli and his Pakistani counterpart Sarfaraz Ahmed have played it cool, saying the players are only focussed on the game - despite obviously being aware of the hype.

Mani highly hopes that these arrangements will send positive signals to the cricket world about Pakistan cricket, "I am confident that with the successful holding of these events we will be able to send a positive message to the world that things have become conducive in Pakistan as far as the holding of worldwide cricket matches is concerned".

I never thought I'd be able to play against them, never mind play for them, so it's surreal, and I'm really looking forward to it. James can effectively play on the right flank as well and at times, Swansea even used him in the center forward role last season.

As always, however, the form-book is hardly a pointer to what really unfolds as the Indians found out the last time that the two teams met in English conditions.

"We will host Sri Lanka for two Test matches of this inaugural edition of the event in September, then our team will be flying to Australia in October/November for one day-night [Test] and one day-time Test for the championship". But they will aim to replicate their win over India in the Champions Trophy final in England two years ago.

And here's one for the real cognoscenti: Pakistan's Inzamam-Ul-Haq played in that Old Trafford match. Both the teams will want wicket-taking bowlers and good batting technique. We have seen three games getting washed away. Yet the record does not guarantee India a straightforward win.

The tournament has also been dominated by the pacers, who have claimed three of the four wickets to have fallen so far.
