The Toronto Raptors are officially the winners of the 2019 NBA Finals! Ray Kelly, the spokesman for the Alameda County Sheriffs Office. The Warriors have been willing to pay luxury tax in the past, but such a bill would be triple what the team paid in luxury tax this season.

A longtime Warriors season ticket holder said he saw the entire incident and says he was standing less than a foot from the deputy when it happened.

"That's when he tried to push past our deputy, and our deputy pushed him back, and there was another push that kind of moved up and struck our deputy in the face", Kelly said.

Ujiri pushed the deputy out of the way and got on the court, Kelly said.

"I liken it to myself when I was younger and I got to witness the Jordan era and all my buddies and I we want to be like Mike, Michael Jordan".

The Alameda County District Attorney's Office said it expected to look into the matter sometime next week. Kelly told the San Francisco Chronicle that authorities will push for a battery charge against Ujiri.

The deputy complained of pain in his jaw and was taken to a hospital for evaluation and later released. SI reported that the sheriff's office is actively pursuing a charge, which would likely be the misdemeanor charge of simple battery against a peace officer. But who knows. Every year is different.

The matter is now under investigation, according to Alameda County District Attorney spokeswoman Teresa Drenick.

The Warriors, who headed into the finals with back-to-back wins and had won three of the past four National Basketball Association crowns, were without injured Kevin Durant and lost Klay Thompson to a knee injury in the third quarter. The Warriors issued a statement, with the team and Stevens apologizing to Lowry and the Raptors.

The Dubs just lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals Thursday night, preventing them from winning a third straight championship.

After knocking off the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors in six games, the Raptors claimed the first title for the franchise - highlighted by the bold decision to trade for Kawhi Leonard.
