The USA's unpopularity among some nations was also revealed yesterday as the team were accused of "classless" and over-zealous celebrations during their emphatic win over Thailand.

The Norwegians are without world player of the year Ada Hegerberg who refuses to play for her country because she says her national federation does not take the women's team seriously.

It's a bummer because these women are good.

But both on social media and post game shows, people were criticizing the USA for running up the score and for celebrating the goals.

At 6/1, the two-time World Cup winners are third-favorite to win a first title since 2007 but their lack of goals could be a cause for concern further down the track. It is the biggest stage in world football. And the top-ranked Americans did not hold back on the celebrations as they began defence of their world crown.

I made several phone calls to bars and restaurants in Watsonville where I thought they might have a viewing party or at least something promoting Tuesday's game.

"I'm happy just ignoring those comments".

"Of course we know where we are". "I couldn't have dreamt of scoring five goals in a World Cup".

A Honor representative took Twitter to explain that Huawei is not pushing ads and the ads are shown by third-party apps. It is only impacting users who are using the pre-installed wallpapers of what used to simply be pretty scenery shots.

It was heartbreaking to hear none of the places had at least some kind of viewing party. Among the favourites France has been the only other team to impress with an easy 4-0 win against South Korea in the tournament's opening match.

That sounds like a fun experience but it's still somewhat of a drive just to be around other fellow USA soccer fans. That's how lopsided matches such as the USA against Thailand occur. The lawsuit cited several instances in which pay for US men's team, which has underperformed in recent years, far exceeded compensation for their counterparts on the women's team, who are the reigning World Cup champions.

"But the women's pro game hasn't reached that level of popularity". You are probably looking for more smart and sassy ways to support women's soccer!

There is great soccer on every single day of your life right now-even beyond the World Cup.

The criticism wasn't isolated north of the border, with two former US men's team stars giving their counterparts a little kick. And hell, check out the badass ads that folks are making with respect to women's soccer. Portland is now ranked second in the NWSL and even though nine of their starters are with their national teams in the World Cup, the Thorns are still stunning to watch. But that's far away from what the men got in last year's tourney.

Samantha Mewis' opening aim for United States of America became the 800th aim scored in Ladies folks's World Cup suits, with United States of America guilty for 116 of them - extra than any assorted crew. England's senior men's team have also been known to use the facility. "If US goes on to fail, their behavior will be on a loop", Hall of Famer - and Fox Sports analyst - Alexi Lalas tweeted.

"For all that have issue with many goals: for some players this is their first World Cup goal, and they should be excited". This is your dream of playing and then scoring in a World Cup.

The United States' record 13-0 drubbing of Thailand at the Women's World Cup yesterday morning (Singapore time) divided opinion on whether the team should have so mercilessly punished their opponents.
