Flight Activity Resumes At Newark Airport After Plane Skids Off Runway

The United plane, which departed from Denver International Airport, "experienced multiple flat tires upon landing in Newark", a United spokesperson said in a statement.

"After landing, the aircraft became disabled which is now affecting operations at Newark Airport", the spokesman said.

Newark temporarily stopped accepting arrivals and departures. "The left vital landing equipment is stuck in a grassy dwelling". "The aircraft will be towed off the airfield after passengers leave the aircraft via stairs".

An hour later, the airport said that all passengers aboard that plane had safely gotten off and that the airport was working on resuming flights. It said travelers should check with their carrier.
