Brooke Henderson makes history with win at Meijer LPGA Classic

Grand Rapids (USA), Jun 16 (PTI) Indian golfer Aditi Ashok slipped on the third day of the Meijer LPGA Classic with a two-over 74, shortly after playing out one of her best rounds on the LPGA Tour, here.

Trying to break a tie for the Canadian victory record for both women and men, Henderson completed an 8-under 64 in the rain-delayed first round and shot another 64 in the second round at Blythefield Country Club.

The 21-year-old former tournament victor played 30 holes on Friday after rainstorms forced a seven hour delay during Thursday's opening round. "It was getting pretty dark at that point", Henderson said. "Two awesome players and defending champions, so they know how to play this golf course really well".
