We're adding a color adjustable front light so customers can read with a warmer tone that's customizable to their preference to easily transition from daytime to nighttime reading.

One neat feature of the 2019 Kindle Oasis is the ability to schedule the display changes to coincide with sunrise and sunset times.

PCMag will have a full review of the new Kindle Oasis in the near future.

Starting $249.99 for the 8GB version with special offers (aka ads on the lockscreen), the new Kindle Oasis is pretty steep for an ebook reader.

Today, Amazon announced the third generation of its Kindle Oasis e-reader. Warmer temperatures exhibit an orange or yellowish tint and are generally a bit easier on the eyes while cooler temperatures have a bluish tint, giving off a crisp and invigorating ambience.

Amazon will ship a new version of its high-end Kindle Oasis next month, the latest in a series of refreshes for the company's line of e-readers. However, there's no clarity on what it actually means. The new Kindle Oasis also supports IPX8 waterproofing, good for submersion in up to 6 feet of water for up to two hours. Bluetooth and 4G support (on select model) are also present.

The top-of-the-line Kindle Oasis is still expensive, of course. Once the three months are over, users can continue the subscription at Rs 169 per month.

Amazon still has both Gold and Graphite colour finishes in all models, although we expect that will change fast as it's no longer creating new stock and these are now significantly cheaper than they've ever been before. Amazon Prime members will be able to read hundreds of ebooks, comics and more without any additional costs and with unlimited access.

Amazon is also selling covers for the new Kindle Oasis that open like a book, automatically wake the device when opened, and put it to sleep when closed.
