Amazon Prime Day Will Last 48 Hours This Year

Make that the busiest two days of shopping, as the e-commerce giant is looking to extend the already massive sales event to run for a full 48 hours for the first time. Otherwise, subscription fees start at $12.99 a month or $119 a year, covering a long list of benefits across categories as diverse as shipping, video and music streaming, reading, and perhaps best of all, these exclusive deals and discounts.

"Prime delivers such massive scale and features that we believe it would be very hard for any company to replicate and compete against, and Amazon continues to expand and add more value to Prime by adding new benefits and growing existing offerings", JPMorgan analysts wrote in 2018, arguing that Prime is actually worth $785 a year. It will also be the "biggest Prime Day deals ever on Alexa-enabled devices" so we can expect bigger savings on the likes of Echo speakers, Fire tablets and the Fire Stick 4K streamer than we saw a year ago. The concept is similar to Click Frenzy, except all of the deals are exclusive to Amazon Prime members - which means you need to be a subscriber to get the deals. OnePlus will be launching a new variant of the OnePlus 7 series smartphone. Amazon basically rules the internet for a day. It starts on Monday, July 15 and will end on Tuesday, July 16.

Since its inaugural Prime Day, the event has become an annual feature that allows the firm to flex its muscles amid the retail market. You could sign up for a free 30-day trial and cancel for free once Amazon Prime Day is over.

There will be over 1 million deals available worldwide, which is the same number Amazon offered a year ago.
