Antetokounmpo to play for Greece at World Cup

Voted the NBA's most valuable player (MVP) for the 2018-19 regular season, the 24-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward said: "I want to be there to help my country achieve something good".

"Whether I play the 1 (point guard) or the 5 (center), I don't care", Antetokounmpo added.

Under the outstanding leadership of coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos, Greece won 11 of their 12 games in the European Qualifiers.

After almost two years since he's played minutes with the Greek national team, Antetokounmpo joining the fold in advance of their run during the World Cup in China will obviously be a big boost to their chances to take home a medal.
