Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A refresh for 2019 arrives with a whimper

Following the launch of Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung has announced another tablet.

Some time ago we talked about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), announcement of which was planned in the near future, writes the with reference to iLenta.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) looks like a typical Android tablet with a squarish design and thick bezels on all four sides of the display.

The tablet comes bundled with a two-month subscription of YouTube Premium and a three-month subscription of Spotify Premium. The new Galaxy tablet is coming quite early as it takes over from the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) which was released in September 2018. The company hasn't revealed the price nor the availability of the tablet in India yet. The latter can be expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card.

Specs-wise, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC paired with 2GB RAM. With Kids Home mode enabled Samsung says it "delivers fun and interactive features with a child-friendly interface". Family Share is another interesting feature that lets users share schedules, notes, photos and reminders with family members. Samsung's proprietary version of Android 9 Pie is expected to be running on the device out of the box. To compliment media consumption on a large screen display, the tablet computer also features dual speakers. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 support, and 4G LTE. This device also offers support for S Pen.

In the camera department, the Galaxy Tab A sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus support and a 2MP front camera.

This tab has been launched with two models.
