Taylor Swift is the highest paid celebrity of the last 12 months, according to Forbes magazine. Forbes estimated that the 29-year-old's pretax income was a staggering $185 million, a 131% increase over Swift's take last year.

Jenner, in face of her thriving cosmetic brand, earned an estimated $170m thanks to her raved lip-kits, securing the second place. It is also one of the heroines of the popular reality show keeping up with the Kardashians.

Much of Swift's income came from her Reputation Stadium Tour, which brought in an estimated $266.1 million, the highest-grossing tour in USA history.

She was followed by two members of the Kardashian family - the queen of the makeup world and the half-sister to Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and the extended member, rapper/entrepreneur, Kanye West. Forbes ranked the top 100 stars with the highest earnings, with the lowest-earning person on the list, singer Celine Dion, still making a hefty $37.5 million. Forbes named her the "youngest self-made billionaire" earlier this year, so she's on the list.

Singer Taylor Swift should feel happy now, after she lashed out recently over not being able to own the masters of her previous recordings. He will also be making his grand digital debut with Amazon Prime's The End, for which he has been reportedly paid a huge sum of Rs 90 crores.

Ed Sheeran, who is placed fifth in the list, is the highest-ranking Briton with estimated pre-tax earnings of $110m (£88m).

Soccer stars Lionel Messi (#4), Christiano Ronaldo (#6), Neymar (#7), while Boxer Canelo Alvarez (#10) is the only non-soccer athlete to make the top ten.
