Boyce, who was being treated for epilepsy, died in his sleep after suffering a seizure. Over the last six years, since he was only 14, Cameron talked me down from countless ledges, talked me through eating disorders, helped me out of a dark relationship and through endless breakdowns.

Now they have confirmed their initial findings in a brief statement, which reads: "Preliminary information suggests the death occurred under natural circumstances".

The news comes after it was revealed that Boyce's official cause of death had yet to be determined following an autopsy that was performed on Monday.

In the trilogy of films, Boyce played Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil, who leaves the Isle of the Lost (where all the villains and their kids live) for the posher Auradon where he enrolls at the school there to try and become a better person.

"We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart-wrenching time, and continue to ask for privacy so that the family and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make agreements for his funeral - which in and of itself, is agonizing", said the family.

In the post to Instagram, Victor Boyce wrote: "My son".
