Jeff Hardy Arrested for Being Intoxicated In Public *UPDATED* with WWE Statement

Cops say the wrestler, now known as Brother Nero, was taken into custody at the Ocean Enclave Resort in Myrtle Beach after they received calls about a drunken man around 11 a.m.

Hardy was arrested at about 11 a.m., Myrtle Beach Police Cpl.

WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public this weekend, according to TMZ.

WWE issued a statement on the matter to PWInsider and other news outlets: "Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions".

Hardy, 41, was arrested without incident and booked into the Myrtle Beach jail.

The tattooed star was arrested for a DUI charge after crashing his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan in North Carolina a year ago, the Charlotte Observer reported. He served a 10-day jail sentence in October 2011 after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to traffic. The 41-year old returned to the WWE for the third time in 2017, and won the Smackdown tag team championship in April with his brother, Matt Hardy.

But from 1998 to 2003, he was a fan favourite for his stunts and athleticism, winning numerous tag team titles.
