The last lunar eclipses of this year will be a kind of partial eclipse of the moon, as the shadow of the earth will obscure 65.3% of the entire moon disc when the partial eclipse of the moon reaches its peak.

The Earth's shadow will split the moon from the middle, leaving the eclipsed part of the moon to appear copper-reddish in colour.

Local stargazers will not be able to see the peak because moonset is at 5:16 a.m., the bureau said.

A rare celestial phenomenon is happening on eclipse day night with Jupiter and Saturn close to the Moon.

The world will be able to witness a partial lunar eclipse on 16 and 17 July in many parts of the world including most parts of Pakistan.

The duration of the eclipse is 2 hours 58 minutes.
