Though MIUI is a custom version of Android 9.0 Pie, and Android One is simply a pure version of that OS, we often find western users are less familiar and therefore less comfortable with it than they are standard Android.

Xiaomi is expected to launch its latest Android One smartphone the Mi A3 at an event in Spain later today. The Mi A3 is equipped with 4GB of RAM and has either 64GB or 128GB storage options, and further supports expandable storage via microSD for up to 256GB. It is likely that the base variant with 4GB RAM may be priced at Euros 219 (approximately Rs 17,000). The phone will be available in three colors: White, Blue, and Gray. The company will launch both the Mi A3 and the Mi A3 Lite.

It is worth noting that the Mi A3 has brought the headphone port back, which is literally music to the ears of a lot of people. Another highlight of the Mi A3 will be that it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The screen is only a touch larger than the Mi A2's 5.99in panel, at 6.088in, but it feels very different due to its tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio, which allows Xiaomi to increase the screen size without increasing the overall width. Yeah, don't be surprised.

Internally, Xiaomi has packed an octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset under the hood. There will be a 64GB and 128GB storage option on offer. It boasts a 48Mp Sony ultra-wide sensor with an f/1.79 focal length, as well as 8Mp wide-angle and 2Mp telephoto sensor. It can record up to 2160p video at 30 fps or 1080p at up to 120 fps. There's also a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera housed in the waterdrop notch up-top. Additionally, Xiaomi has put in a bigger 4,030mAh battery with support for USB Type-C 18W fast charging.

Sloth And Guide Dog Among New Emojis Unveiled Today
It's World Emoji Day and Apple has taken the opportunity to unveil some of the new emoji that it announced at WWDC last month. Those include a guide/service dog, wheelchairs, a hearing aid, prosthetic limbs and more.

In these prices, the phone should come with a better display, and a better processor as well.

It is needless to say that Xiaomi has covered all connectivity bases, with a hybrid dual-SIM/microSD card tray, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and more. Xiaomi removed the same on Mi A2 for a slimmer profile. Xiaomi Mi A3 has launched in Europe at a starting price of Rs 20,000 approximately.

Xiaomi's new Android One phone is powered by the Snapdragon 665, which is successor to the 660 we saw in Mi A2. As teased, the Mi A3 has been officially announced. We're also expecting its debut in India after the furore of the Redmi K20 comes down a bit.

The Mi A3 has not yet been announced in other markets, though we expect a United Kingdom release to follow imminently.

Mi A3 is the first Android One phone with a triple-lens camera.
