During the debate over the resolution, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) expressed opposition to it, saying, "We can not condemn non-violent means", which caused Zeldin to respond, "Don't come to this committee and blame Israel for all the violence".

Earlier this week Omar formally introduced a resolution supporting the global Boycott, Divest and Sanctions campaign against the State of Israel, comparing it to boycotts of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. "Following the committee's strong endorsement, I hope House leadership will bring this bipartisan resolution to a vote so Congress can reaffirm its close bond with Israel, America's friend and ally". In an interview with Al-Monitor on Tuesday, Omar made it clear that the intention of the resolution was to provide a pathway for the BDS initiative to thrive. "The official policy is for a two-state solution, but I can't say Netanyahu is an enthusiastic and loud, constant supporter".

An amendment submitted by Rep. Karen Bass, D-Calif., struck Lowenthal's original language stating that "the United States has long sought a just and stable future for Palestinians and an end to the occupation, including opposing settlement activity".

Still, Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., took issue with the original language as well as a remaining clause endorsing two-state negotiations across the Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations.

The resolution now has 147 co-sponsors, all Democratic. It now has 273 co-sponsors: 141 Republicans and 132 Democrats.

PC is now Ubisoft's most lucrative platform
Ubisoft credited Assassins Creed Odyssey , Rainbow Six Siege , and player recurring investment for the increase. They also say that 34% of that income is from PC, up from 24% from the same period past year .

The only Democrat to oppose the vote was Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.

Whilst BDS in the USA has not been outlawed, the movement is highly frowned upon in the country's political class, marginalising pro-Palestine voices.

Omar joins Tlaib as the only lawmaker on Capitol Hill to support BDS.

Ilhan Omar introduced an anti-Israel resolution in the House today.

Therefore, the resolution calls on Congress to affirm "that all Americans have the right to participate in boycotts in pursuit of civil and human rights at home and overseas, as protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution;" to oppose "unconstitutional legislative efforts to limit the use of boycotts to further civil rights at home and overseas;" and "urges Congress, States, and civil rights leaders from all communities to endeavor to preserve the freedom of advocacy for all by opposing antiboycott resolutions and legislation". The Muslim Brotherhood-linked Hamas states in its charter that its reason for existence is to eliminate Israel.
