His lack of promotions aside, the Top Gun: Maverick trailer shows that Mitchell is still a flying ace after all these years. Paramount Pictures released the trailer during the big Comic-Con weekend, just as fans are landing in San Diego to celebrate everything great in our pop culture. Looks like he's about to do an incredibly fearless thing.

Top Gun: Maverick will be released in theatres in 2020.

The original Top Gun opened in theaters on May 16, 1986 and grossed $356.8 million worldwide, with $179.8 million coming from North America and $177 million from overseas. Gilchrist County Sheriff's deputies then surrounded Bonilla's home while other officials transported the victim to the hospital. He faces charges of burglary, child cruelty, aggravated battery, kidnapping and aggravated assault, jail records said.

"Maybe so sir, but not today", Maverick shoots back. He'll star alongside the Set It Up breakout Glenn Powell, Oscar victor Jennifer Connelly, Mad Men alum Jon Hamm, Insecure star Jay Ellis and Val Kilmer, returning to play Iceman.

Top Gun: Maverick is directed by Joseph Kosinski, exec produced by Tommy Harper, Chad Oman, Mike Stenson, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.
