The first ever mid-engined Corvette is here and it is also the fastest and the most powerful entry-level Corvette ever. "But from an image and excitement standpoint. that halo effect the Corvette fills is unique". The auto ceased production this summer. Expect the new USA sports vehicle to take on more expensive mid-engine machinery from the likes of McLaren and Ferrari when more potent versions of the Corvette are released in due course - most likely with a supercharged tang to make things interesting.
