The Walking Dead Movie Teaser Revealed at Comic-Con!

Fans are excited to see Rick Grimes' story continue and it will be fantastic to see that story continue on the big screen. The Walking Dead shows have continued to pull in viewers year after year despite ever-changing casts. Now, AMC has revealed that it has partnered with Universal to distribute the yet-to-be titled first entry in the trilogy.

The news was unveiled at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel by executive producer Scott M. Gimple, who said, "Fear the Walking Dead is returning for a season six", proveing the strength of the AMC franchise.

The films were first announced in late 2018 following Andrew Lincoln's departure from the flagship AMC series, on which Lincoln had played Grimes since the pilot.

After the EPs finished their Q&A, panel moderator Chris Hardwick showed the Season 10 trailer for The Walking Dead (watch above). We're going to dig into the past and see old characters. Fans are specifically wondering if Michonne will appear in the Rick Grimes movies because Danai Gurira confirmed at SDCC that she is exiting the series in season 10.

Andrew Lincoln's first The Walking Dead movie does not yet have a release date. As more news is released, we'll have it here. The leaders of the Whisperers, survivors who wear the skin and blood of Walkers to better blend in with the dead, Alpha (Samantha Morton) and Beta (Ryan Hurst) are heading up the chaos they started and continued with that horrifying mass decapitation during season 9. "The Walking Dead family is forever". "I can confirm that this is the last season I will be on this fantastic TV show as Michonne", she said, per The Hollywood Reporter.
