The Dolphins' 34-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason opener became a footnote in comparison to Stills making a continued strong stand for what he believes in - even if it calls out his boss.

Billionaire Stephen Ross is the chairman and majority owner of the Related Companies, which has several subsidiaries including Equinox Fitness, which is the parent company of SoulCycle. "It's something that I can look back on and say I made the right decision". If you're going to associate yourself with bad people, then people are going to know about it.

Meanwhile, Ross hasn't spoken to Stills in the two days since Stills spoke out. Adding fuel to the fire was Dolphins wide receiver, Kenny Still, who implied that Ross was hypocritical for supporting Trump's message.

Dolphins coach Brian Flores also addressed Stills' tweet calling out the owner on Wednesday.

"The one thing I said to Kenny was and I understand where Kenny is coming from", Flores told reporters.

"To Our Soul Fam", the post began, "In this hard week for our community, we've been reflecting on how to move forward stronger and more united than ever". I wish he would have done that. I talked to him about that a couple weeks ago. And says they do not support it.

"I think that people who are who are really radical and really anti-Trump probably won't", Fruitman said. "And it's going to be that way".

Then Stills revealed that the death threats he received at the height of the kneeling controversy in 2017 have returned. He also dealt with death threats while protesting police brutality and racial inequality during the national anthem before games in the past.

Stills said he's trying not to be a distraction for his teammates and remains committed to the team.
