Apple has released a first look at its upcoming drama, "The Morning Show", starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon.

Along with Witherspoon and Aniston, who also executive-produce, "The Morning Show" stars Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Nestor Carbonell (who attended Deerfield Academy before going to Harvard). The tech giant ordered the show straight-to-series, green-lighting a two-season, 20 episode order-rare for a new series.

Written by Emmy-nominated TV producer-writer Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights, Bates Motel), the series casts Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell as the two main news anchors who are also a married couple, Karen and Mitch Kessler.

"I feel like the people are screaming for an honest conversation", Carell, 56, shouts.

New Mixer superstar, Ninja, is 'disgusted' at Twitch, his old home
If you visit his Twitch page you won't find his old broadcasts: instead, you'll be presented with a list of popular live channels. He also said, "The lewd content that appeared on the Ninja offline channel page grossly violates our terms of service".

"I think they want to know the person behind the facade." adds Witherspoon's Bradley Jackson. Finally, the camera ends up on the set of the fictional show-within-the-show, with Witherspoon saying that people "want to trust that the person telling them the truth about the world is an honest person". With the tagline "The news is only half the story", the series follows the lives of the people behind the early morning TV shows we all wake up to.

It's Carell's first foray back into the small screen after seven seasons on The Office.

"[I am] so excited", Witherspoon said in 2017 about developing the show with Aniston.

The Morning Show is based on the novel Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV by Brian Stelter, and it looks to be one of the more interesting Apple TV+ shows.
