Although the automaker announced last month that the mid-engine 2020 Chevy Corvette would cost less than $60,000, many expected that price would exclude the mandatory destination charge that would add another $1,000 or so. We already know the Corvette will be made in right-hand drive but we will have to patiently wait for confirmation the new C8 will indeed be available in the UK. Well, this morning Chevrolet has confirmed the 2020 Corvette is losing nothing when it comes to attainability, because it starts at $59,995. Dual-zone climate control, a proximity key, power tilt and telescoping functions for the steering wheel, rear parking sensors, Brembo brakes, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included. The V8 engine offers a 6.2-liter displacement and 470 pounds per feet of torque. It is mated with eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission that channels power to rear wheels. Here, you get a color head-up display, wireless device charging, heated and ventilated seats, embedded navigation, a rearview mirror that can display what the backup camera sees, a forward-facing camera to prevent curbing, blind-spot monitoring and satellite radio. It's well worth the premium considering what you get.

Finally, for $71,945 the 3LT includes GT2 seats with Napa and Mulan leather and carbon fibre trim, suede-wrapped upper interior trim with leather wrapping the rest of the interior.

There's also a performance exhaust and performance suspension, with manually-adjustable threaded spring seats. For that kind of money, you're looking at improvements to the suspension, cooling, a performance-oriented ratio for the rear axle, electronic limited-slip differential, rear spoiler, bigger brakes, and summer tires.

Disney Fans Call For Mulan Boycott Over Star’s Controversial Comments
Since her statement was circulated, #BoycottMulan began trending on Twitter , with more than 58,000 tweets and counting. Though the controversial bill was suspended , the protests have continued with increasing intensity through the summer.

In an interesting twist, if you opt for the Z51 Performance Package, which boosts the engine output to 495 bhp from the standard 490 bhp, the 'Vette's maximum velocity actually falls slightly. Plus, there is an optional Z51 performance package that remains.

Beyond the Z51, a hydraulic lift for the nose to clear speed bumps or steep driveways will add $1,495 to the bottom line.

Another important contributor to the Corvette's pricing structure is Chevy's road map for future variants.
