A few surprises include American Idol season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina, former Laker Lamar Odom, and model Christie Brinkley.

The line-up was announced on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America, where Brown said: "I want the sequins, I want the moves, I want it all". Exhibit A: the many harsh replies to his tweet celebrating the announcement.

Since leaving the White House podium, Spicer has struggled to land a gig that sticks.

Host Tom Bergeron confirmed that this year we won't be finding out who will be paired with whom until premiere night.

Trump dismisses recession worries, says not prepared for a China deal
State Department had approved the possible sale of 66 F-16 fighter jets to Taiwan, which Beijing considers a renegade province. Under Washington's "one-China" policy, the US government officially recognizes Beijing and not Taipei, while assisting Taiwan.

Spicer began his White House tenure with the infamous (and provably false) claim that President Trump's inauguration drew the largest crowd ever.

Spicer, since resigning from press secretary, said he "absolutely" regrets the incident.

Other stars joining the show for its 28th season include former "Bachelorette" Hannah Brown, actor James Van Der Beek, cast member of Netflix's "Queer Eye" Karamo Brown, country singer Lauren Alaina and former National Football League player Ray Lewis. Hannah Brown, of course, was most recently the lead of another ABC reality series you may have heard of, The Bachelorette, while Van Der Beek is an alum of the series Dawson's Creek and appeared in the first season of the FX Emmy nominated hit Pose.
