Forward Ousmane Dembele has joined Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on Barcelona's injury list.

Injuries hampered Dembele's first season at the club after a €105million move from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017, while he scored 14 goals in 42 games in 2018-19.

Barcelona have revealed Ousmane Dembele will be out for around five weeks after the France worldwide suffered a strain to his left hamstring.

There were claims the French World Cup could be part of a deal that would see Neymar return to the Catalan club, but Dembele's agent has now confirmed his client is going nowhere.

"Developing at a club as prestigious and ambitious as Barcelona involves a competition that will advance any player".

"I wanted to clarify firmly and definitively the situation of Ousmane Dembele".

Cristiano Ronaldo hints at retirement from football
Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested he could pull the curtain on his prodigious career at the end of this season. But the Portuguese forward is more focused on a different achievement, rather than winning trophies.

"He does not plan to leave Barcelona at the moment".

"That is in any case the view anchored into Ousmane's mindset who is not at all anxious about any claims, rumours or claims that may be made against him".

"This is the course of action fixed for several months now and no element is or will be likely to cause us to deviate".

It remains unclear where or how he suffered the injury. Despite approaches from several big European clubs, Ousmane is convinced that he is part of the biggest of all clubs and all is here for him to excel.

"Ousmane is a Barcelona player and is going to stay at the club 1000%, he will win many more honours there", the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, was quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.

'Ousmane is aware of what he needs to accomplish daily to ensure that his Barcelona adventure is full of success'.
