It's worth noting that Nintendo Switch players can purchase The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition digitally or in retail, as soon as it launches on October 15, 2019.

There is only one version of the Witcher 3 for Switch called the Complete Edition.

With The Witcher 3 Switch release date's announcement, we can all put any doubts we have to rest that the epic CD Projekt title is coming to the home console/portable hybrid console. Meaning, it fits snugly on that 32GB SD card (which typically sport 29.8GB of usable space).

I've been lucky enough to play around an hour of the game's Nintendo Switch port, and that short burst of The Witcher's world has encouraged me to return and play through both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Now, it has a date, and it's closer than you'd think. But it seems CD Projekt RED is up to the challenge and will release the incredible dark fantasy RPG this October 15th. When the Switch is undocked, the game runs at 540P resolution.

If you like what you see, you can still pre-order your own Switch Lite ahead of its release on September 20th. We'll see just how well it runs in a couple of months, but for now, head down to the comments section and let us know if you'll be picking up The Witcher 3 on the Switch.

We expect other retailers to start selling the digital version of The Witcher 3 down the road so keep an eye out as we approach the release.
