The National Lottery has this morning appealed to Lotto players in Co.

One lucky ticket-holder has scooped the biggest National Lottery jackpot in two years - and is set to claim more than €11m in prize money.

The mega jackpot win is the 15 highest jackpot since the Lotto was launched in 1988 and last night's lucky ticketholder from the Garden County also victor becomes the 6 Lotto jackpot victor of 2019.

Since 1988, there have been 55 Lotto jackpot winners in Co.

The massive jackpot on offer has been rolling since Wednesday 12th June and if won, would be the 15th highest single Lotto jackpot won in the history of the game in Ireland.

The reason for this is the triple-camera system at the back that's been sectioned by a rather unflattering square camera bump. This is where it gets tricky: the renders feature an Apple Pencil which is smaller than the iPhone itself.

As a result, he'll be taking home a whopping $60 million jackpot.

The winning ticket, which matched all seven numbers of the July 26, 2019, draw, was purchased at the Seafair Centre in Richmond.

Lotto says there was a steady increase in ticket sales ahead of the draw.

It's so far unknown where in the country the winning ticket was sold, and it remains to be seen whether the lucky ticketholder will make themselves public or keep a low profile.

This jackpot was close to being shared as another Laois player fell one number short, matching five numbers and the bonus ball. However, for this player, the blow was softened by the knowledge that they won €134,412.
