Fixing a noteworthy and somewhat embarrassing omission, YouTube music now joins the ranks of other music apps which can integrate directly with Waze's controls.

Enabling YouTube Music within Waze allows you to conveniently pause/play and skip songs, without leaving the navigation interface, as the player takes on a minimized form and is displayed over the map. Albums, playlists and personalized mixes are also available with few taps.

YouTube Music posted about its inclusion into Waze on Wednesday. Waze says it will be available in all 50 markets where both Waze and YouTube Music are available "in the coming weeks".

To access YouTube Music in Waze for either iOS or Android, users will need to select the music note icon in the navigation app. Once you have done that, you can start enjoying your music directly from Waze.

Waze continues to strive to be the only app people use while driving with the addition of YouTube Music. Drivers can control Spotify, Pandora, Audiobooks.com, Scribbd, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Deezer and others without switching away from this navigation software.

"We're really excited to have YouTube Music be part of the Waze Audio Player family", said Adam Fried, Head of Global Partnerships at Waze.
