Frank Lampard says Chelsea need Michy Batshuayi to stay at the club to maintain competition for places up front.

The Finnish forward has scored all of his team's four goals so far and could join an exclusive list of players who scored in their first three Premier League games, should he find the net against Chelsea.

Chelsea will be hoping to get their first win of the season when they go head-to-head with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday. Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line for the Blues against Norwich, with Tammy Abraham being benched again.

"Michy got the fitness work he needed out of the game".

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has suffered an ankle injury and is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League trip to Norwich City, manager Frank Lampard has said. That's a challenge for us because it's something we aren't doing and we need to do.

"This is the Premier League and you can't disrespect any team to say, "it's must-win" or "we'll turn up to win" because every game is hard", he said.

The 26-year-old has been back in full training over the last week, and played 90 minutes for Chelsea's development squad.

S&P 500 stalls in economic data offset, ahead of Fed chair's speech
Powell has insisted that the White House criticism has had no effect on the Fed's deliberations over interest rate policy. Trump tweeted , initially misspelling Powell's last name before changing it.

"What I have got is great attitude in the three strikers".

"But you can't get too down about that".

After a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool in the first game of the season, Norwich bounced back emphatically with a 4-1 win over Newcastle United last week. "I thought the team performance was really good".

Asked if Pedro had an injury issue after missing training earlier in the week, Lampard said: "That was because we had, as we know, a busy week and Pedro contributed a lot physically, he had a couple of small aches".

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Lampard said, "N'Golo Kante has got an injury he has carried all week".

It's been an eventful return to the English top flight for Norwich City who were crowned as winners of the Championship league title at the end of last season, and in truth, were a cut above all the other teams in the second tier last term. No changes are likely with Antonio Rudiger still short of fitness to return at centre-back while Cesar Azpilicueta should continue to captain the side at right-back despite his average performances to begin the campaign.
