I'll admit, I LOVE fast food.

A 17-year-old in Charlotte, N.C. made a decision to use the long lines for the new Popeyes chicken sandwich for something productive: Registering people to vote.

With the hype around Popeyes chicken sandwiches, a savvy teenager saw a chance to make a difference in his community.

"We want people to love our brand just like they love our food", it wrote in a job spec, "and that's why we need a strong marketing team".

In some locales, Popeyes opted not to sell chicken sandwiches as drive thru lines created a hazard for motorists.

Plenty of people have certainly been turning up at Popeyes restaurants to try the new sandwich - so many, in fact, that dozens of locations are selling out.

While most players hone their technique among teammates, kicking specialists are often practicing alone on a separate field. They were like, 'What is she doing next week?' She couldn't because the USA women's national team plays the same night.

In a statement to Business Insider, Popeyes said it sold as many sandwiches in the last two weeks as it expected to sell through the end of September.

Their comments come after several Black Twitter users accused Popeyes of co-opting Black culture to sell chicken.

On Monday, Jimmy Kimmel revealed even toddlers know how good the trend is by sharing a photo of his 2-year-old son William John, a.k.a. "Billy", diving into the elusive sandwich.

Meanwhile, rival KFC also reported an abrupt sell out of the newly launched plant-based fried chicken Tuesday. But the sandwich was such a hit restaurants across the country, and in Springfield, ran out of it.

WRDW reports the manager of the restaurant on Belair Road in Columbia County, Georgia, said the sandwich is spawning long lines and accidents.
