Kim speculated that based on the symptoms, she believed she might have rheumatoid arthritis but chose to seek a professional opinion.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian breaks down into tears after she learns of her test results. She told her doctor that within the past week, her hands had stiffened up and felt swollen and itchy. "It's so scary. So I have to go to the doctor and see what's going on because I can't live like this".

The 38-year-old star's doctor then ordered some more tests to determine for sure whether she has Lupus and she was hoping to get the results at a later date.

She said "I've been feeling so exhausted, so nauseous and my hands are really getting swollen".

Metro reports that, after undergoing certain tests, it was confirmed that she had tested positive for lupus antibodies as well as rheumatoid arthritis - which affects the joints and causes pain, throbbing, swelling and stiffness.

"I have a baby on the way, I have law school", Kardashian West said.

"It just gets really scary when you start thinking about how much this is gonna really change my life", the socialite said in her show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Her physician, Dr. Daniel Wallace, confirmed to her, "Your antibodies are positive for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis".

Talking to Kanye West, who interviewed her for the September issue, she said, "There is a misconception that I don't actually have to study and that I've bought my way into getting a law degree - that's absolutely not true". But we can only imagine what she must have been feeling as she got that phone call - and the excruciating wait that followed. She said, "I will know on Friday".

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that leads to inflammation in tissues and organs, according to the Mayo Clinic.

"Thinking about the pain in my hands and what it could be is really scary and can get you in a scary head space".

Rheumatoid arthritis is also an autoimmune condition (so it also affects the body's ability to defend itself). Apparently, Kardashian West's fans will have to continue Keeping Up with her-and her health issues-to find out more. And you really do get into this little depression for a minute.
