Samsung let developers test their apps on the Galaxy Fold before release

Samsung revealed today that it collaborated with Google as well as the developer community to optimize hundreds of frequently used Android apps for the Galaxy Fold.

But given the new form factor of the Galaxy Fold, app developers have needed to tweak products to ensure they support the two screens smoothly, especially during transitions from a closed to open state. Samsung notes that for apps that haven't been optimized for the Galaxy Fold, there's the device's built-in "app-optimizing technology", which resizes an app's content and screen ratio to suit both the large display and folded-state display. The Galaxy A20s is expected to be a budget entry-level device and it only supports 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth. This means more apps on the Play Store would now be compatible with features such as seamless App Continuity and Multi-Active Window as compared to the initial launch date.

Google's Android 10 allows apps to be resized better and adds a new feature in the Android Emulator that allows switching between multiple displays quickly.
