Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended people stay away from vaping devices while investigators work to pinpoint exactly what's behind the illnesses.

Persse said the cases fit the profile of a multistate outbreak of severe pulmonary disease associated with e-cigarette products. Moreover, if the physician suspects an e-cigarette to be a possible cause of the disease, he or she should perform a detailed history interview the substances, where the product came from, and how was it obtained.

A sixth American died after dying from a lung illness that is believed to be linked to vaping, said Kansas officials on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Lee Norman, Secretary for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, told NBC News.

At the time the Illinois Department of Public Health reported that a total of 22 people, ranging in age from 17-38 years, have experienced respiratory illness after using e-cigarettes or vaping.

The new reported death comes as federal health authorities say vaping giant Juul Labs illegally pitched its electronic cigarettes as a safer alternative to smoking, including in a presentation at schools.

"We agree with the FDA - if you don't want to die or end up in a hospital, stop vaping illegal THC oils immediately", said a spokesman from the American Vaping Association.

Google Pixel 4 promo video leaks online, shows off new features
Some of the confirmed software features include air gestures such as skipping songs or silencing phones by just waving your hands. Another leak, though not verified as accurate, looks like it shows the Pixel 4 in black, white and a new orange/coral colour.

Vaping and e-cigarette use has been tied to five deaths in the USA, according to federal health officials.

The letter also asked clinicians to report vaping cases to the health department. "I urge Kansans to be careful".

But those cases don't account for all of the illnesses that have been reported, meaning either that there are multiple sources of the illnesses or that officials haven't identified the actual culprit yet. "Don't put yourself in harm's way, and please follow the recommendations of public health officials". "E-cigarettes can contain other harmful substances besides nicotine".

Fear of the unknown has stopped many of us from risking our lives before.

The severe lung disease is characterized by signs and symptoms such as cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, difficulty of breathing, unexplained weight loss, chest pain, and fatigue.

NY state will require health warning signs in shops that sell vaping devices following hundreds of cases of lung illnesses believed to be related to the habit, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.
