Apple's iPhone 11 camera interface mimics Instagram

Apple today stunned tech-heads with a panoply of pricey new iPhone models, but the company also surprised audiences with a much smaller dollar figure: $7.99.

Apple also announced new games for the service, including Sega's ChuChu Rocket! The new iPhones retain the fundamental design language of the predecessors but have got a lot going for them like computational photography, night mode, and some benchmark breaking under-the-hood upgrades.

The whole new slew of iPhones are available for pre-order starting this Friday at 1pm. But in terms of screens, the iPhone 11 will have a 6.1-inch LCD screen while the more expensive Pro and Pro Max models will come with 5.8-inch and 6.5 inch OLED screens respectively. But it has been years since the company has had a major hit with a new device, as it did with the iPhone in 2007.

Audiences worldwide can enjoy Apple TV+ originals subtitled and/or dubbed in almost 40 languages, including Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH) or closed captions.

In markets like India, where Apple has slightly over 1% market share, the attractive pricing of iPhone 11, further price cuts of older models and availability of new services might help Apple improve their position.

But there was no bundle with Apple Music or other services at the latest launch as some analysts had expected, although Creative Strategies analyst Ben Bajarin said the TV service, gaming service and the base model iPhone 11 seem created to draw in users for the longer term.

Lastly, Apple announced two new subscription services: games and TV.

Arcade will have more than 100 exclusive titles for play on Apple's array of hardware.
