Giannis Antetokounmpo sat the whole fourth quarter.

That should not overshadow what was one of the better wins for Team USA in this tournament, one where the USA can build some momentum.

Jock Londale impressed with 13 points on five-of-six shooting, while Chris Goulding added 15 and Aron Baynes put up 10. The teams then skipped the traditional postgame handshake, as Team USA remained on the court while Greece retreated to its locker room.

France's Evan Fournier jumps with the ball as Australia's Matthew Dellavedova (center) tries to block during their 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Group L second-round game in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on Monday. After consulting with the coaches, when it came time for a team meeting Friday afternoon Popovich told Joe Harris that he was going to open the game defending Antetokounmpo. The rest of the American players have had to hear for weeks that they don't have the star power of other teams like his.

Corey's younger brother Tai continued his strong World Cup with 15 points (6/10 FG) and 9 assists for the Tall Blacks, while Rob Loe netted four triples in his 12 points and 6 assists and Tom Abercrombie chipped in with 10 points and 4 boards.

In addition to the starting backcourt, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White made their presence felt in various ways throughout the game.

"It's going to take a full-team effort on Giannis", Smart said.

San Antonio Spurs coach Popovich, whose team is warming to the task of lifting a third title in a row, said: "It was a good test and helped us get better". And when Antetokounmpo played on the perimeter, the defense shaded toward him with three players shadowing him.

"From the other side, we need to protect his health, so we have to take care about the amount of time he plays".

Antetokounmpo started as he meant to go on, scoring seven consecutive points with thunderous dunks and a three-point jump shot that lit up the packed stadium.

"Everyone knows Giannis obviously, you play against him in the NBA", Harris said. They now stand alone atop Group K and have officially clinched a spot in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
