Antonio Brown's former trainer Britney Taylor filed a lawsuit against him this week, claiming that Brown sexual assaulted her in 2017 and 2018. Two incidents were said to happen in the same month of June 2017, while the other one was said to have happened nearly a year later in 2018.

When asked if he knew of the allegations when signing Brown to the team on Saturday, Belichick said, "I'm not going to be expanding on the statements that have already been given".

Following Brown's signing, Tom Brady had been excited about the prospect of teaming up with one of the league's most dynamic threats, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.

Brown was at Patriots practice on Wednesday, and the team has made no determination to Brown's status for their Week 2 matchup in Miami versus the Dolphins.

McCann explains that according to Taylor, she was so "traumatized" by what happened between them that it took a while for her to come forward with this lawsuit against Brown. It happens a lot throughout the NFL.

What does sexual assault lawsuit filed against Brown mean?

Yet, in the first images from Brown's time at Patriots practice, it was clear that he wasn't wearing the Xenith Shadow or even the helmet he wore in preseason warmups with Oakland.

"Mr. Brown, whose hard work and dedication to his craft has allowed him to rise to the top of his profession, refuses to be the victim of what he believes to be a money grab", Heitner said in the statement. We're taking it very seriously all the way through the organization. "We will have no further comment while that investigation takes place".

Taylor said she went back to Brown's home to use the bathroom after a night out in Miami. But a weird foot injury, fights with the National Football League over his helmet, skipping practices, multiple fines, a run-in with Raiders general manager Mike Mayock and his social media posts ultimately led to the decision to release him.
