Democrat Donor Ed Buck Arrested for Running Drug Den

After essentially the most contemporary overdose, Buck is charged with affirming a drug home, battery inflicting serious hurt and administering methamphetamine, all felonies.

Following the second death, a number of gay black men came forward and said that Buck has a "fetish for shooting drugs into youthful black men he picks up off the street or on hookup sites".

This time, authorities took action.

In court documents filed Tuesday, prosecutors described Buck as a "violent, unsafe sexual predator", with "no regard for human life", who "mainly preys on men made vulnerable by addiction and homelessness". Prosecutors allege Buck provided the meth that killed two men who were found in his apartment in 2017 and this January. Messages to his attorney, Seymour Amster, were not immediately returned. "Everyone knew that he preyed on young black men".

On July 27, 2017, Gemmel Moore was discovered dead at Buck's apartment.

When Moore died, police say they found drug paraphernalia littered around the scene in Buck's home, including syringes, pipes and plastic bags. He doesn't wait to call 911. The overdoses in both cases were ruled accidental, officials have said. "Moore had been homeless and had worked as an escort". Ed Buck is the one to thank. "He gave me my first injection of chrystal (sic) meth". He was not charged in those cases.

Dean died Jan 7. of methamphetamine and alcohol toxicity. "The witness reported that he did not see the decedent taking any drugs and they did not have sex", according to the report. Buck was never arrested in relation to Dean's death.

Timothy Dean, 55, was found in strikingly similar circumstances, half-naked with his legs resting on the living room mattress and the rest of his body on the floor.

Atletico Madrid vs. Juventus
Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri says their defending must improve after drawing 2-2 at Champions League opponents Atletico Madrid . Atletico Madrid could be without goalkeeper Jan Oblak , who missed the game against Real Sociedad with a head injury.

Amster told CNN in January that Dean and Buck had been friends for more than 25 years. Buck is accused of injecting a 37-year-old man, who overdosed but survived, with methamphetamine on September 11. A third man, 37, overdosed this month and authorities claim Buck personally injected drugs into the man.

Prosecutors are asking that his bail be set at $four million.

That latest incident comes after two men were found dead in his Laurel Avenue apartment in West Hollywood. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. As the man again began suffering symptoms of an overdose, prosecutors alleged Buck "refused to render aid" and instead "thwarted" the man's attempts to get help.

"The full scope of his consistent malicious behavior is unknown", prosecutors wrote in court papers obtained by PEOPLE. While he has not publicly defended Buck, Duran was criticized by black activists when he warned young black sex workers that they shouldn't speak with law enforcement officers about their encounters with Buck, saying they could be liable for arrest for admitting sex work or drug use.

"From his home, in a position of power, Buck manipulates his victims into participating in his sexual fetishes", prosecutors alleged in court papers.

Buck 65, known as a megadonor, is a former model and actor who became involved in politics in the mid-1980s. The Arizona governor's efforts to dismiss the recall supporters - whom he dubbed "a band of homosexuals and a few dissident Democrats" - with comments about sexual orientation were pilloried in the "Doonesbury" comic strip.

Buck has donated to a number of Democratic candidates and PACs in recent years, according to information from OpenSecrets, a nonpartisan group that tracks money in U.S. politics.
