Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez at a baseball game September 11, 2019, in San Francisco.

Here are the latest details on the MLB All-Star's arrest in Pennsylvania, based on an investigation and charges in Florida. His arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Vasquez, who is considered one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, was arrested on a warrant that was out for him in Florida.

According to the complaint, Vazquez texted the girl as recently as July 2019, indicating that he wanted to continue having sexual contact with her.

It was not immediately clear whether the charges in Pennsylvania were related to Vazquez and the girl in Florida.

When Vazquez spoke with cops, he told investigators that the girl initiated the sexual contact that day.

Vazquez is 28 years old and a two-time All-Star.

Vazquez is being held behind bars in Pennsylvania.

Vázquez has been charged with solicitation of a child and providing obscene material to minors, and yesterday's report said that he texted a 15-year-old girl that he would meet up with her after the season for sex.

The two also allegedly exchanged nude photos and the victim sent him videos in which she performed sex acts on herself, according to court papers.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said it began investigating Vazquez in August after learning about an alleged sexual relationship between a girl and Vazquez. "We take this matter, and these charges in particular, extremely seriously", Coonelly said in the statement.

Marco Gonzales pitched seven shutout innings and the Mariners hit three solo home runs in a 6-0 victory against the host Pittsburgh Pirates in interleague play Tuesday night.

"Mr. Vazquez took his vehicle and drove it outside of the victim's residence the victim entered into his vehicle, and that's when the sexual intercourse took place", said Limoni.

CBS Pittsburgh affiliate KDKA reports the Pittsburgh Pirates released a statement saying they are placing Vazquez on administrative leave. At the time, he said he did it to match the surname of his sister, who negotiated his contract extension with the Pirates prior to spring training in 2018.
