The strike against General Motors and 49,000 United Auto Workers entered its second week, and both sides are unable to come to terms on wages and profit-sharing among other bargaining items.

The United Automobile Workers (UAW) strike reached it's ninth day on Tuesday, as GM workers continued fighting for what they believe is their fair share. "Trump, who campaigned heavily on bringing manufacturing jobs back to America, has mostly so far just expressed a desire for a speedy resolution to the strike".

Around 48000 members of UAW that are working with GM are on strike since early Monday after both sides failed to strike a deal last Saturday which was the deadline. The longer the strike continues, he said, the more that manufacturers and suppliers might reevaluate how they do future business.

Consumers and workers will begin to see changes within the coming week - there are expected to be fewer cars on dealers' lots, and workers will begin to feel the stress of living off their $250-per-week strike pay checks, according to the AP.

This is the second consecutive year that Dinklage won the Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series . A big shout-out to my acting agent, who has been rooting for me literally from the very beginning.

"That's dedication", Rhonda Oneal, a 22-year GM worker said. But in the weeks leading up to the strike, GM took steps that could minimize the impact on its customers, at least if the strike doesn't drag on for long. "GM upper management is doing more damage to their public perception than they would really want". "But that's also a work in progress". Saturn vanished during GM's bankruptcy in 2008 and plant has now become a flashpoint in the tense standoff between the automaker and its principal union.

Close to 50,000 workers are on strike.

Wages also are an issue with the company seeking to shift compensation more to lump sums that depend on earnings and workers wanting hourly increases that will be there if the economy goes south.

Temporary workers has been the top request among union members, according to the Detroit Free Press. Though GM did not confirm the exact numbers it said that it has completely idled operations at Oshawa plant located in Ontario.
