Nintendo announce a Gold Pass subscription service for Mario Kart Tour

Starting today, you can download Mario Kart Tour and while the game is free, if you want the full experience, be prepared to pay $4.99, a month.

Original Article: Gaming accessory maker Hori is set to release a Mario Kart Racing Wheel for Nintendo Switch, it has been revealed. You don't even "drive", your character moves forward as long as you are pressing on the screen and your primary controls are steering and firing the items that you pick up.

Highlights of this new mobile version of Mario Kart seemingly including a design that allows you to play one-handed on a phone, with simple presses enabling steering and drifting. City courses, special in-game event courses inspired by real-world locations, will be available during specific time periods and take place every two weeks.

The contract is a "cost-plus" agreement, meaning that NASA will pay for the production of the capsules as well as incentive fees. The first set of three Orion spacecraft will cost $2.7 billion and will be utilized for Artemis missions III through V.

That subscription nets you a series of rewards (including racers, karts and in-game currency), access to the game's 200cc mode, and the ability to earn badges for playing certain challenges.

Expectations have been high for the title, where users steer characters such as Bowser, Yoshi and even Mario's first love interest, Pauline, as they race karts through world cities, with NY the launch location. Mario Kart Tour will continue to receive new content and updates post-launch. A two-week free trial is available, after which the paid service will automatically kick in. Also, you'll need an internet connection to play it, as well as a compatible smartphone.
